Cyient SR University collaboration to advance additive manufacturing

Cyient SR University collaboration will help develop an industry-based curriculum focused on advanced manufacturing systems.

Cyient, global digital engineering and technology solutions firm, is a key promoter and consumer of additive production technology and has established polymer and metal additive manufacturing centers in India and the US. The company has signed an MoU with Warangal-based SR University, a well-known institution in research and academics. Cyient SR University collaboration will help the latter in creating an industry-oriented program focused on advanced manufacturing systems.

With this collaboration, Cyient and SR University will help advance India’s additive manufacturing industry, which is a key tenet of the Make In India initiative. We will look into developing industry-ready engineers with the capabilities in additive manufacturing to build cutting-edge solutions. Furthermore, Cyient will look to its academic partners such as SR University to lead innovation through industry-aligned research and development in the field of advanced materials, design, and process controls. – said Rajendra Velagapudi, Senior Vice President, Cyient 

Cyient has worked with marquee customers in aerospace and defense, medical engineering, energy, industrial, and transport segments to provide functionally superior additively manufactured parts with software in tooling, reverse engineering, and obsolescence management. 

SR University is a prestigious institution with 45 years of academic excellence. It holds All India Number 1 in private institutions category in ARIIA-MHRD ranking recently and NIRF Rank in Engineering and the overall category. Cyient SR University collaboration will significantly cut the power gap between the need and availability of tools trained in areas like the design for additive production eventually helping students with the required knowledge in this area.
