On her page, she mentioned that she had achieved high grades in her A-level exams, equivalent to SATs in the United States.
Swift on the fundraising page said,
Vitoria, I came across your story online and am so inspired by your drive and dedication to turning your dreams into reality,” the 30-year-old singer wrote. “I want to gift you the rest of your goal amount. Good luck with everything you do! Love, Taylor.
Mario contacted 442 people of the top firms for financial assistance but was rejected or left with no response. Hence, she set up a fundraising page. This is what caught attention, and news of Taylor Swift donates over $30,000 to her is taking rounds since then. When Mario arrived in London, she could not speak English but had achieved top grades in exams. On her fundraising page, she has mentioned a breakdown of the funds she will need for accommodation, equipments, and living costs, including transportation, food and gas.
Mario was a student at London’s Brampton Manor Academy. She said, “The school is renowned for their work in helping young Black and minority ethnic students such as myself gain entry to top U.K. institutions.”
