Three out of five prize winners are women, and it shows that women in the sports industry are also getting recognition day by day. Rani Rampal is the first women hockey player to be honored for the award. It was unexpected and she broke into tears of joy when she heard about it. While I do feel this award comes as a recognition of my hard work, sacrifices, and commitment to the sport over the years, winning the Olympic medal will remain the ultimate goal. We will work hard as a team to achieve this goal in Tokyo next year, Rani said.

Along with Khel Ratna awardees, Ishant Sharma, alongside 26 others, will receive the Arjuna Award. The player’s complete dominance in test cricket is being rewarded.

The pandemic, COVID-19, brought the whole world into a halt. Cinema, theatres, parks, stadiums, everything was pegged back. The pandemic had such a devastating effect that the leagues across the world were suspended, including the quadrennial event, Olympics 2020. Earlier this month, Microsoft investing $100 million in ShareChat was taking rounds. While the company has expressed interest in TikTok now, the latest news reports confirm that Google might inject $150-200 million in ShareChat for its next investment. The news of whether Google or Microsoft will acquire the platform remains unclear at the moment, but the investment will help ShareChat become a social networking market leader.

ShareChat is a regional social platform made in Bengaluru and is India’s homegrown counterpart to TikTok, as well as its direct competitor. It is available in various Indian languages and has more than 60 million active users.

Given how things have changed, especially after the ban, ShareChat benefits a lot in terms of time spent, in terms of revenue, in terms of daily active users. We are suddenly a lot more valuable than our previously thought valuation. We have got a lot of inbound interest, and we are talking to everyone, including all the global players, – said Ankush Sachdeva, Chief Executive, ShareChat

As soon as TikTok was banned, the doors of opportunity were opened to ShareChat. Downloads began to pour in, and in just 36 hours, ShareChat clocked in over 15 million downloads, after which the company was emboldened to quickly release a short-video sharing app ‘Moj’ the very next day. If Microsoft successfully concludes this acquisition, ShareChat will be the newest member of the Unicorn league, having reached a net worth of $1 billion.

Speaking about how ShareChat has more to offer when compared to TikTok, Sanjeev Kumar, Forecast Analyst at Forrester said,

The synergy can come in from the content creators, reaching the diverse set of audiences given the local appeal that ShareChat carries. Both the apps have been successful outside the metros and have the ingredients to capture the digital advertising spend channeled towards India’s next big cities in the making.

It’s also commendable to note that Twitter was first to strike a $100 million deal, which pegged the valuation of ShareChat at $650 million, after which Microsoft followed suit. Although the Microsoft deal has not reached a final stage, ShareChat is actively trying to raise capital to achieve the desired threshold of $200 million in its current series D funding round from existing investors, including Twitter.

ShareChat is determined to provide stellar user experience, and in this regard, the company recently migrated to Google Cloud. Although the fact that Microsoft might shell out $100 million in a desi app is quite intriguing, this may be a brilliant move to benefit from the uncertainty and the possibilities to come from India’s Chinese app ban.

On the other hand, Google unveiled its India Digitization Fund, a $10 billion initiative to funnel investment into promising companies. Google has been hunting for the next big social network. While the investment in ShareChat can turn out to be a strategic move on Google, it will help the company gain market presence as Google is the king of search engine optimization. The brand will get visibility where searchability is best, and the content is most likely to go viral.

ShareChat’s popularity garnered the attention of tech giants like Microsoft or Google. With a user base of over 140 million monthly active users, ShareChat has the responsibility of providing a seamless experience for them. The journey is both challenging and exciting.

Also returning migrant employees were likewise provided a chance at earning resources.

The Odisha’s new model can be extrapolated to a nationwide level, where the pandemic gave an opportunity to consider and reassess the top priorities in the A&A market. Innovation and market interventions where the private sector contributes, will certainly make a distinction to the degree of situation preparedness.

States like Odisha relocating towards horticulture-based commodities might take advantage of perishable products promo. Follow a sleep routine

If you want to become perfect in something, the best way to do that is to follow experts in that niche. Businesses and entrepreneurship are no less. To be successful, you need to observe closely the methods and tactics that have made successful businessmen famous, and following the footsteps of Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Warren Buffett would be a smart choice.

Founders and entrepreneurs are no newcomers to pulling all-nighters, particularly on the eve of a major presentation or an investor gathering. Good night’s sleep is something experts, including Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Warren Buffett recommend for better performance & success. Lack of sleep impairs the most crucial skill of the entrepreneur, which is decision making. It can even interrupt your memory and concentration, and it is not what you would like to experience an adverse effect on your sleep routine.

Many of us think that pulling all night over, working for 18 hours a day are signs of being workaholic, and people who want to be successful should work for maximum hours of the day. However, the reality is somewhat different. Working for long hours and being sleep deprived can affect your mental peace, performance, and efficiency. The overall impact of this sleep loss appears to be contributing to a less productive workforce.

As per American Academy of Sleep Medicine, healthy adults should have at least seven hours of sleep at night, with a maximum length of between seven and eight hours. Quoting from Professor Vicki Culpin’s The Wake-Up Call: The Importance of Sleep in Organizational Life:

It is common for managers and colleagues to look at a lack of focus or motivation, irritability, and bad decision making as being caused by poor training, organizational politics, or the work environment. The answer could be much simpler – a lack of sleep.

Millennials who are aspiring entrepreneurs follow exceptional business minds like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Warren Buffett. Therefore, they should also know that all three of them take an adequate amount of sleep required by the human body and brain to function optimally.

Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Warren Buffett are famous leaders and billionaires. Other than sleeping habits, despite being very busy, they set aside at least an hour a day (or five hours a week) over their professional lifetime for tasks that may be categorized as meaningful preparation or learning.

Bill Gates reads for one hour before going to bed and on an average reads 50 books a year while Warren Buffett likes to invest five to six hours a day reading five newspapers and 500 pages of corporate reports. According to Jeff Bezos, known as a sleep advocate, having an adequate amount of rest makes him remain calm during the day, improves his productivity, and boosts his decision-making skills.

I used to work all night in the office, but it’s been quite a while since I lived on catnap. I like to get seven hours of sleep a night because that’s what I need to stay sharp and creative and upbeat. – said Bill Gates

It is evident that a sound sleep pattern, including a bedtime routine that fits an individual, is the safest path to a smooth, consistent, and profitable work cycle and maintains constant energy throughout your work sessions.

As per Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffet, sound sleep, night after night, saves you from committing significant mistakes. Yet it also provides strength to your imagination.

In May, Google launched the augmented reality feature within Search that helped to view 3D anatomy models and cellular structures. The Socratic update appears as the most futuristic and useful one for Google’s new edtech tools.

As we advance from classroom to virtual learning, the education industry progresses into a much more technology-driven industry. With present needs, launching useful products, solving customer problems, and inculcating growth in our learning is a must. Google’s contribution to the field is commendable.
